Plain-English draft adapted from Young Procurement's other sites. Worth having a solicitor review before launch.

1. Who we are

Public Sector Procurement Academy (publicsectorprocurementacademy.co.uk) is operated by Tim Young, trading as Young Procurement ("we", "us"). We provide independent procurement training. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).

2. Your account

Your account is created when you buy a course on this site, or when your organisation arranges access for you, using the email address you pay with. Please give accurate details, keep your password secure, and don't share your account. You're responsible for activity under your account.

3. What you're buying

A one-off payment for a course gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to access that course for as long as this site operates. It includes the course content, assessments and, when you meet the completion requirements, a certificate of completion.

Our certificates confirm that you completed our course and its assessments. They are not regulated qualifications (they are not on the Ofqual register), carry no CIPS credits, and are not CIPS qualifications or endorsed by CIPS. Build results you enter in a course are self-reported and checked against expected values; we do not inspect the tools you build.

Where your organisation pays for your access, the course is still licensed to you personally, and your organisation may ask us to confirm whether you have completed it.

4. Independence

The Public Sector Procurement Academy is an independent training provider. It is not part of, and is not endorsed by, UK Government, the Cabinet Office or Crown Commercial Service. Course content is training, not legal advice.

5. Acceptable use

  • Don't copy, redistribute, resell or publish course content, or share your account.
  • Don't share your account or let others use it.
  • Don't scrape, bulk-download or try to get around access controls.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, without refund.

6. Payment and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices include any applicable taxes; Young Procurement is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged. Our refund policy forms part of these terms.

7. Content accuracy

We take care to keep content accurate. AI products and guidance change frequently, so product details carry a review date. Course content is training, not legal or professional advice: check legislation and official guidance before relying on it for a live procurement.

8. Intellectual property

All course content, design and software belong to us or our licensors. Guidance and text you write yourself during a course are yours to use in your own work.

9. Liability

We provide our courses with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions taken in a live procurement on the strength of training material. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

10. Changes

We may update these terms, for example to reflect new courses or changes in the law. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and tell account holders about significant changes.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
